About Groganica Farms

Established in Louisville, KY in 2012, Groganica Farms was the first commercial aquaponics farm in the region. We launched Groganica MycoGreens® in 2024 to be able to provide shelf stable healthy whole food nutrient powders made from the high quality produce grown on our farm and our partner’s farm, Frondosa Farms.

At Groganica Farms, we are a family operation that strives to provide high-quality, better than organic, sustainably grown products to our customers. We believe in responsible farming practices that benefit both the environment and the community.

We are proud to have been recently awarded 2026 Producer of the Year by the Kentucky Restaurant Association. Our partner, Frondosa Farms was also awarded Producer of the Year in 2025 for their dedication to providing the very best culinary mushrooms to restaurants in the area. Both of our farms are grateful to serve the Kentucky restaurant community with the highest quality greens, microgreens and mushrooms available anywhere on the planet. We grow it so you know it!

As the Executive Chef for over 20 years, we have focused on committing to great local companies and products that will benefit our restaurant. Our association with Groganica Farms continues to assure our quality driven focus on local foods. We have created a partnership with Mac DeHart to ensure that we will always procure the freshest, most unique blend of lettuces and greens in this region of the country. Groganica provides a commitment of quality, consistency and professionalism that is unmatched by anyone in our industry. Mac’s care and dedication to his craft is a direct reflection of the type of quality that we strive to maintain for our restaurant patrons. Being a farmer myself it was so refreshing seeing Mac & Amanda’s immaculate operation as well as the excitement and love they have for it. As for the greens… They are some of the highest quality, tastiest, and consistent that I have used in my 20 year career! For a chef to work so closely with the grower for specific wants is an ideal situation as well. I am so proud and excited to present such amazing produce to my patrons.
